Quick report

A wind slab still present but seemed to be in pockets, wet loose and pinwheels from previous day were all over. Hard to say the main player type for the slab observed but hesitate to say a PWL, not enough info

Snowpack

Warm. Upper elevation of Checkerboard offered 12-14cm of hot pow before a hard crust underneath. I dug a pit and below surface was primarily a dense snowpack structure at least going down 160cm with the layers it seems folks have been observing recently within. CT16 down 12cm and CT28 down 40cm ECTN down 40

Avalanche

Was able to see roughly 8 avalanches from the ridge, mostly just off of the Noisy Notch in crown bowl and adjacent slopes. Majority seemed to be natural wet loose from the previous day’s warming. A glide crack was detected as well as a recent slab (D1.5 R3ish) with unknown thickness/bed surface. Pics below.
