Quick report

Cracking
specific
Collapsing
isolated

We dug a pit and got extremely reactive results which paired with our up track tests. Storm slab was easy to trigger. Not sure the grain type but pictured is the weak layer approx 60 cm above the ground. It is very thin, maybe from Wednesday’s overnight clearing? Not sure. Was able to get some pieces of this layer that were a cohesive, almost like a feather. This layer propagated cleanly on the 14th tap on our ECT. When we re-dug 12” back and retested we got ectn results at 3 and 17 respectively.

Avalanche

Was able to trigger an avalanche on a test slope, approx 3’ down on a W aspect
