Quick report
Dug a pit at about 4900ft on a SW facing ~35 degree slope on Sawyer Mountain in a small clearing in lightly treed terrain. Snowpack is roughly 3-4 feet deep with 18" of fresh snow on the rain crust. No concerning layers below that. The fresh snow bond failed at CT13 but had no reactivity or propagation. Probably wouldn't have been a good day to be on wind slab out there, but fortunately there was almost no wind effect in the entire region. Stuck to sheltered steep terrain or lower angle in the open areas on Sawyer and Finn. Did some quicker hand pits higher up and generally found similar results everywhere, and the rare place with mild wind effect still showed no signs of reactivity. Never saw any signs of collapse, cracking, etc. at any point.
