The Mill Creek area looks pretty decent for snow coverage, things are filling in and looking more white with each storm. A couple layers to watch that are buried around the middle of the snow pack as a warm wet storm is forecasted.
A little unusual to see a slide on a southeast aspect this time of year. A day or two old and possibly triggered from near the bottom of the slope, it is not a very deep slide but roughly 300' wide. A photo of an old debris pile in Cataract Basin. The ridge line grows some huge cornices that calve-off naturally triggering avalanches as they hit the slope below.
Snowpack

Nice dense settled powder in sheltered places and in the open areas faceted surface snow from clear days and nights. Some tired old wind slabs along the exposed ridges and these were not cracking. Very nice riding and turning even in the generally thin Mill Creek zone.
