- <p>We viewed the previous avalanche in Neely bowl, we saw evidence of older avalanches across the range. We had collapsing in multiple spots. We got a 30-40ft crack, see pics. Snow pack structure was highly variable with multiple crusts noted and basal facets on N-NE</p>

An isolated column. Crusts easily visible, depending on how good your zoom is you can see the large basal facets on the ground reflecting a ton of light. HS 60 cm
This crack went 20-30ft on the other end of the machine and what you see here. This area was a bit flatter, likely had some amount of wind and had more of a slab than elsewhere.
Snowpack

- <p>Poor structure, basal facets and some rain crusts. Had an ECTN and an ECTX, but the tests were plagued by grass and vegetation. </p>
Travel was slow and inconsistent. Where the machine stayed up on top of the rain crust travel was easy. But getting into trees and on top of ridges; skis and track would just give way and would want to tip you over. It is still extremely thin in our travels today. HS was an average of 60cm.
