Snowpack

The snowpack is variable across the alpine. Crusts are forming on sunny slopes while faceting is keeping shady slopes soft, where unaffected by wind. While shallow, weak snow on north slopes still holds enough structure to support skis on alpine slopes. A firm over weak structure exists on east, northeast, and north slopes, but where I travelled, the connectivity of the overlying slab has broken down.
