Quick report

Skied the Nisqually Chutes this morning, with a lazy start. Strong winds and very poor visibility on the Snowfield kept the crowds at bay, and we didn't see anyone else above Pan Point. There was a crust everywhere below about 6500 feet, but skinning conditions were very reasonable. Winds calmed down as were dropping in to the Chutes at 13:00. The Snowfield was quite wind effected, but the chutes held some decent soft snow, and skied quite well - would have skied even better if the visibility was better. We saw no signs of instability whatsoever. It cleared up just as we returned to Glacier Vista, and by the time we got back to the car at 14:00, it was properly sunny (albeit with the summit of Rainier still shrouded in clouds).
