Quick report
On my way up, there were clear signs of slides. Some had snow on them (I assume ran earlier this weekend) some look like they had run just yesterday and had less snow covering them. At around 5400ft the snowpack transitioned from moist to colder snow (still heavy but closer to powder). Inside the bowl around 6k there was some signs of wind drifting and a thin wind crust but no signs of hard cohesive slabs. It was a complete whiteout by the time I got into the bowl around 12:30. At about 1pm, I heard an avalanche go off in what I assume was the steep terrain I saw coming up. Visibility was so bad that I could not see it, but it seemed like the mountains were telling me to go home.
