Quick report

Surface crust persists up to 6,800', but is thinner, weaker, slightly more skiable ('zipper'). On more southerly aspect (WSW), surface crust was nearly melted out but still detectable in the late afternoon. Overall, off-piste travel is difficult but stability appears strong. No instabilities noted.

Snowpack

Surface crust present, but thinner and weaker (~1cm thickness, very brittle and weak). Failure in CT and ECT tests down ~20-30cm within recent storm snow (12/9 interface), but resistant and non-propagating results. Crust almost almost melted out on slightly more southerly aspect (WSW), ~6,500' at 15:00.
