We traveled from Sno park to flagstaff and up around trout creek. Snow was very wet and heavy down low as temperatures were in the 40’s at 11am. With recent storms estimated 3ft of new snow was found. The warming has caused a lot instability and increased the snow load putting a lot of pressure on weak layers below. Noted several times would stop to make terrain choices and snow would be collapsing on flat surfaces (south facing predominantly). With continued warming this week and possibility of some rain we could see rapidly changing conditions from our mostly stable snowpack this year. Know before you go and stay safe.
