Bad day to leave the snowshoes at home. I booted the whole way and ended up wading through a lot of unsupportive snow. In general the snowpack was at least 2'~3' in the deeper sections out in the open, but there were many areas where the snow was lower coverage (<1'). Snowpack was a mix of sun crust topped near surface facets and surface facets. Northern/eastern aspects were generally deeper than southern/western aspects.
