Weather

Warm and sunny with no wind until late afternoon (light, NNE).

Snowpack

Height of snow is 120 cm near treeline on most north to east aspects. In areas without wind drifted snow there are two well defined layers of surface hoar in the upper 30 cm of the snowpack. There is no slab in shaded, sheltered areas near treeline so there were no propagating results in extended column tests. In near treeline areas with wind drifted snow, like ridgelines, the height of snow is closer to 150 cm. In these areas a 1-finger to pencil hard slab sits over a surface hoar layer that is about 50 cm down. I had an ECTP 11 in this layer in an extended column test.
