Heavy and deep new snowfall and accumulation. Triggered a lot of sluff on angles above 30 degrees. Observed small cracks in surface layers. Skied low angle treed terrain to avoid avalanche hazard.
Avalanche
Observed an avalanche in Keystone Canyon, around mile 15 while driving. D1, small, localized avalanche at known runout zone. Ran into and blocked the outbound lane.
