Weather

Cloud Cover: Overcast (Cloudy, 8/8 covered) New or Recent Snowfall (cm): 12 Snow Available For Transport: Small Amounts Wind Loading: Light Weather Summary: Exposed areas in Robinson Basin and at ridgetop had moderate winds with light transport. Snowfall rates increased through the afternoon to S3.

Snowpack

Three pits above 11.800' produced hard, non propagating results (ECTN) at the 10/28 interface (.8-1.0 mm rounding facets, 4F- at lowest site, F at highest site). Storm interface about 3" to 6" deep is low density snow on northerlies, crusts on south to east facing terrain. Snow coverage has melted back and is pretty patchy on steep southerlies.

Avalanche

We human triggered a couple of thin storm slabs, both on southerly and northerly aspects above treeline. They were harmless in size.
