Quick report

We went up to Mt. Judah today to check out the current storm and new snow accumulation.  There was up to an inch of wet, rained on new snow at Donner Pass by the late morning as temperatures warmed.  On the North Bowl of Mt. Judah, there was around 3'' of wet new snow with light snow showers and snow level around 8000'.  On north aspects at 8000', some areas of old snow from the previous October storms was found under the new snow.  This old snow was made up of melt freeze crust and was isolated at this elevation and location.  Rain and wet conditions continued through early afternoon with some of the new snow that fell in the morning melting below around 7500'.

Moderate to strong SW winds in exposed areas. Moderate rain with light snow falling around 8000'.
