Quick report

Minimal signs of instability (although stayed off steep, wind loaded slopes). Occasional cracking observed in heavily wind loaded areas. Cornices and heavy wind loading on N and E aspects. About 7-10” of light snow on top of the heavier previous storm that ended ~Dec 29. Hand pits on multiple aspects and multiple elevations showed a weaker layer about 24” down from an inter-storm layer that would break cleanly but took a lot of force to move. Hasty ECTs had no result on that layer. Rain crust below the lighter snow from previous storm until about 4600’ Sun came out morning of Dec 30 and 31 and occasional sun breaks Jan 1. Some wet loose on slopes that the morning sun hit.
