Not confident in snow stability on the skin in. Stepped on the snow at the entrance to the chute in an effort to test snowpack stability. Shooting crack immediately shot across the entire chute and the whole thing slid. No one carried or in harms way. Skied Granny's down. The snowpack is consolidating into a slab but is definitely having a hard time bonding to the weak layer from the warm weather last week. Pretty dangerous combo with the new storm slab and weak layer that is staying stubborn. Visibility was bad
