Weather

Very warm above treeline, light intermittent breeze, few clouds.

Snowpack

Substantial wetting of the snowpack on most aspects and all elevations. In pits on East, Southeast, South and the Height of Snow ranged from 80-190cm. Upper layers were P to 1F- and moist to wet as early as 11 am. The meltwater seemed to percolate at around 6-12 inches per hour, dependent on aspect. In an East facing pit at 2 pm, water was actively dripping out of the pit wall from layers 1-2 ft from the surface and pooling at layers as deep as 3 ft down.

Avalanche

Numerous Loose Wet avalanche activity throughout the visible area. Ranging from D1 to a few D2s on mainly East and Southeast aspects of West Apostle Pk.
