A natural avalanche cycle will continue into Thursday. As well, numerous skier accidentals today, mainly in the Sunshine backcountry, and a partial burial reported on Cirque Peak. Avy control Thurs. on Vermillion slide paths in Kootenay. SH

    Very touchy wind slabs from 30-80cm deep are sitting over the widespread Valentines surface hoar layer. Flights today saw lots of natural activity up to size 3, mainly along or West of the divide. This will certainly persist for some time to come.
