Forecast Snow Stability: The existing wet snowpack will refreeze and become stable. Fresh areas of unstable windslab will form in sheltered locations. Greatest accumulations will be on steep North-East, East and South-East aspects above 900m. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will drop to around 250 metres and there will be snow showers throughout the period. Winds will be moderate to strong from a Westerly direction. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a warm and wet day with the freezing level above the summits. Strong South-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack continues to thaw and consolidate at all levels. Snowpack stability is generally good. The avalanche hazard is Low.
