Forecast Snow Stability: There will be little change. The slowly thawing snowpack will remain generally well bonded and stable throughout. Most snow lingers on North through East to South-East aspects, mainly above 800 metres. Patchy cover elsewhere and many areas and summit slopes will be bare. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: High pressure will keep conditions dry and settled with good periods of sunshine. There will be a light to moderate breeze, gradually veering from South to West through the forecast period. The freezing level will remain above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: Largely dry, but with summit mist and pulses of drizzle drifting in a light Westerly breeze. Brighter in the afternoon. Mild, with the freezing level above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The spring snowpack is slowly thawing at all elevations and is generally well bonded and stable. Most snow remains on North through East to South-East aspects generally above 800 metres. Patchy cover elsewhere and many areas and summit slopes are bare. The avalanche hazard is Low.
