Forecast Weather Influences: Fresh Easterly winds will back to become Northerly. Mainly dry with the freezing level dropping to around 400 metres. Observed Weather Influences: It was a mainly dry day with moderate North-Easterly winds. The freezing level was around 900 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack has consolidated in the colder conditions and is generally stable. There is a breakable crust on more recent snow accumulations and exposed areas of old snow are becoming firm. The avalanche hazard is Low.
