On steep slopes individual mostly small avalanches are possible as a consequence of new snow and wind.
Snowpack Structure
In some localities 5 to 15 cm of snow has fallen above approximately 1200 m. On sunny slopes hardly any snow is lying. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust.
