Avalanche Activity

Wind slabs in high Alpine regions.

Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls mostly small wind slabs formed. They can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads,. In these regions hardly any more natural avalanches are to be expected.

Snowpack Structure

In some localities 5 to 10 cm of snow, but less in some localities, fell in the last four days in all altitude zones. Wind slabs are lying mostly on the smooth surface of an old snowpack. Only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. The snowpack will be generally stable.
