Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will refreeze as the freezing level drops during Monday morning. Fresh areas of unstable windslab will develop during the day in sheltered locations. Greatest accumulations will be on steep and sheltered South, South-West and West aspects above 800m. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be a dry evening with the freezing level above the summits. During Monday morning, there will be a period of snow above 200m with strong North-Easterly winds. Observed Weather Influences: Heavy rain at all levels arrived mid morning with the freezing level above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: A thin cover of recent snow is present above 500m with some deeper accumulations at higher elevations. The snowpack is now thawing and consolidating at all levels. The avalanche hazard is Low
