Avalanche Summary

New snow and steady winds will create dangerous avalanche conditions as the day progresses on Wednesday. You can trigger an avalanche large enough to bury you where southwest and west winds are drifting storm snow into thickened slabs. The most dangerous slopes face northerly and easterly directions near and above the treeline, but use caution anywhere you encounter about eight inches or more of new or drifted snow. Expect worsening conditions as the day progresses, so give yourself a wide buffer from steep slopes overhead and plan your exit route. Slopes less than about thirty degrees without steep terrain above provide safer options.
