Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard at all elevations is LOW in the early morning today as below freezing temperatures overnight have again formed a hard crust on the snow surface. This hazard will increase to MODERATE at all elevations by this afternoon as temperatures increase and the crust softens. These crusts are likely to weaken on all aspects at low and mid elevations and on sunlit aspects at the upper elevations. Once softened, wet slab and wet loose avalanches could be triggered today on steep avalanche terrain with depths of up to three feet in depth at the higher elevations.
