Points saillants

Isolated pockets of new soft slab 6 to 12 inches in depth put in by west-southwest winds have formed on hard old snow surfaces in some upper elevation starting zones and cliff areas. These shallow slabs could be triggered on steep wind loaded aspects. Shallow loose snow sluffs could also be triggered on steep slopes or release naturally on steep sunlit aspects. Mostly stable snow exist at the mid elevations. Most lower elevation slopes are bare or have a shallow snowpack.
