The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Northwest winds have formed new soft slabs up to 18 inches deep on leeward aspects. These slabs could be human triggered today in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones and have potential to step down to deeper layers especially on very steep northerly aspects. Loose snow sluffs could be triggered on very steep slopes and could release naturally on steep sunlit aspects.
