Points saillants
The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE. A shallow snowpack with buried weak layers of faceted snow esists. Slab avalanches up to two feet in depth could be triggered by backcountry users who venture into steep avalanche starting zones. These unstable slabs are most prevalent on upper elevation (above 9,000 feet) northerly and easterly aspects. Avalanches are unlikely below an elevation of 8,000 feet due to shallow snow depths.
