Avalanche Summary

New snow and northerly winds drifting snow increases you chances of triggering an avalanche. Most of the new snow is falling on rocks and bare ground but with over a foot expected, avalanche conditions have changed. The most dangerous places are where you find 8" or more of cohesive snow forming a slab and that dirfted snow is sitting on an old snow surface. Look for and avoid fresh and firm lens-shaped drifts below ridgelines and in gullies.

Safer travel can be found at lower elevations out of the wind.
