Avalanche Summary
An Avalanche Watch is in effect for the Front Range. A potent storm with strong winds and heavy snow will result in very dangerous conditions overnight on Monday and into Tuesday. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended during this time.
During the day on Monday, look for and avoid drifted pillows of firm snow in steep terrain at upper elevations, especially above terrain traps. Small slabs of drifted snow will start developing late in the day.
Sticking to areas sheltered from the wind with soft, dry snow is a good way to reduce your risk to avalanches.
