    Moderate to strong SW winds continue to redistribute recent storm snow at treeline and in the alpine. More snow is expected over the weekend. Winds are forecasted to ease somewhat but continue to watch for wind loading at treeline and above.

    This facetted weak layer is most easily detected in shallow snowpack areas at tree line and above. Steep rocky alpine faces still seem to produce avalanches on this layer although these observations are infrequent.
