Points saillants

A brief period of unsettled weather on Tuesday morning will do little to change the avalanche hazard.  Avalanches large enough to bury or injure a rider will remain unlikely on Tuesday.  The one exception may be if we see periods of sustained rainfall, but this is unlikely given the current weather forecast.  Of course, even in Low Hazard, it is worth continuing to carry avalanche rescue equipment and continuing to use thoughtful travel techniques.

It is remarkable how little Wet Loose avalanche activity we've seen this spring!  Wet Loose avalanches will continue to be unlikely.  Why are they still listed as a problem?  With overnight low temperatures just barely below or actually above freezing, and rain in the forecast, Wet instabilities are worth considering on Tuesday.
