Wet and gliding snow require caution.

Gradual decrease in avalanche danger as a consequence of the ceasing of precipitation. The backcountry touring conditions are spring-like. The conditions are to some extent favourable in the morning for snow sport activities. In the event of a clear night this applies in particular. Small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized natural avalanches are possible in particular at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. The avalanche prone locations are to be found on steep slopes. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the high Alpine regions, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.

The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust, in the event of a clear night in particular. The rain will give rise in the afternoon to moistening of the snowpack. Moist and wet avalanches can in isolated cases be triggered in the old snowpack and reach quite a large size. Already many medium-sized and large avalanches have been released in the last few days. With the end of the precipitation, the natural avalanche activity has gradually decreased.
