As a consequence of the snowfall the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase. The avalanches can release the moist old snow as well and reach large size. This applies in particular at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. The fresh snow and the wind slabs can be released easily, even by a single winter sport participant,. Up to 2500 m rain has fallen. Medium-sized and large moist and wet avalanches are to be expected. This applies at low and intermediate altitudes. Wet avalanches can reach a long way in particular in steep gullies. Ski touring and snowshoe hiking call for experience and a certain restraint.

Over a wide area 15 to 30 cm of snow has fallen since yesterday above approximately 2700 m. The southeasterly wind will transport the snow. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded poorly with the old snowpack. Rain to intermediate altitudes: The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack.

As a consequence of the precipitation there will be a gradual increase in the danger.
