The new snow and wind slabs of Wednesday can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases in all aspects above the tree line. Individual gliding avalanches can also occur. The wind slabs are easy to recognise and can be released by large loads in particular. The wind slabs of the last few days are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular on northwest to north to northeast facing aspects above the tree line. These are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls.

Over a wide area new snow is lying on the soft surface of an old snowpack. The fresh wind slabs are to be assessed with care and prudence. In particular slopes adjacent to ridgelines are especially precarious.
