Points saillants

Avalanche danger will rise throughout the day as storm slabs build, with up to 1 foot of new snow.  Storm slabs will increase in sensitivity and size especially during periods during heavy snowfall near and above treeline.  Seek out lower angle terrain as the avalanche danger will increase throughout the day.

    If you find more than a foot of snow or you experience accumulations the exceed 1" per hour, avoid open slopes > 35 degrees.  Avalanche danger can continue to rise during periods of heavy snowfall.  Consider your route and terrain selection in and out of the mountains as the avalanche danger will increase throughout the day with more snow.
