Forecast Snow Stability: Localised accumulations of fresh unstable windslab will develop mainly on East to South aspects above 800 metres. These are not expected to be extensive. Remaining patches of older snow will be frozen and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: After a dry evening there will be snow showers for the remainder of the period. Strong North-West winds. Freezing level close to sea level. Observed Weather Influences: Occasional snow showers on moderate Northerly winds. The freezing level was falling quickly and was around 450 metres by midday. ObservedSnowStability: There is a thin covering of fresh snow above around 800 metres which is generally well bonded. Remaining patches of older snow are frozen and stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
