Forecast Snow Stability: Good stability. A light cover of fresh snow near summits. Some thin wind drifted snow on North-West to North aspects above 950m, moistening later. In general, a very patchy cover of old snow limited to North through East to South-East aspects above 850m; some larger patches on Creag Meagaidh summit plateau. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Colder overnight then progressively milder. Overnight light snow showers then dry followed by some late light rainfall. Light South-East winds. Observed Weather Influences: Cooler. Generally dry. ObservedSnowStability: Patchy snowpack. A trace of new snow near summits. Old snow in some gullies down to 750m but effective snowline now 850m on North through East to South-East aspects; larger patches on Creag Meagaidh summit plateau. Remaining snow is moist at all altitudes and well stabilised. The avalanche hazard is Low.
