Avalanche Summary

Although the danger is LOW, there are still places where you could find a thinner area in the snowpack or a wind-drifted feature and trigger an avalanche. Use caution on lee features on upper-elevation northerly and easterly slopes where you may be able to trigger a small avalanche in snow drifted by Monday's southwest winds. Consider the consequences of even a small slide if you are stepping out into in more adventurous terrain. You can further reduce your chances of triggering an avalanche by riding on homogeneous slopes with over five feet of snow that do not have obvious trigger points. You should continue to practice good travel techniques, carry rescue equipment, and travel with a trusted partner exposing only one person at a time to hazards.
