Points saillants
At the mid and upper elevations older slabs 2 to 4 feet in depth lie upon weak layers of faceted snow. Slabs could be triggered by skiers or snowmobilers today. These slabs can be triggered on slopes which have been previously crossed by skiers or snowmobilers high or low on the avalanche path and could step to the ground. Areas with relatively shallower snow depths continue to develop more weak, faceted snow. Deeper areas may be gaining strength but are still very weak.
