Points saillants

Human triggered slab avalanches are possible in steep wind loaded avalanche terrain at the mid and upper elevations on a variety of aspects today. At the high elevations hard slabs with depths to five feet exist, while at the mid elevations they could be hard or soft with depths to three feet. These slabs have gained strength over the last several days but can still be initiated by larger loads such as snowmobiles, groups of skiers, or by impacting a weak spot on the slope. Avalanches at low elevations are unlikely today.
