    Soft wind slabs, which lie upon hard snow surfaces, were formed by abundant snowfall in the middle of last week. Above 8,000 feet, skiers and riders might be to trigger these slabs to depths of 30 inches in very steep, wind-loaded terrain. Daytime warming will increase the likelihood of triggering these slides.

    Later in the day, wet loose slides will become possible on sunlit aspects as warm temperatures and abundant sunshine heat snow surfaces. Small, natural sluffs could occur, which will most likely emanate from cliff bands and rock outcroppings.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Dry conditions and mostly clear skies will continue on Sunday. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the mid teens before rising into the mid 30s during the day. Westerly ridgetop winds will back to the southwest at 5 to 15 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE on Sunday. In the Tetons and Greys River areas, backcountry travelers might be able to trigger recently developed wind slabs with depths up to 30 inches. As the day warms, these slabs will become more susceptible to failure. On sunlit aspects, the chance for wet loose sluffs will also increase with daytime warming.In the Togwotee Pass forecast zone, the chance to trigger smaller wind slabs and wet loose sluffs will also increase during the day. There, a slight chance remains to trigger deep hard slabs failing on faceted snow that persists in the lower portion of the snowpack.
