Points saillants
At the upper elevations the general avalanche hazard is low this morning and will increase to moderate as gusty winds form new soft surface slabs up to one foot in depth. Old snow surfaces comprised of windpack, suncrust and surface hoar are potential sliding surfaces and weak layers. At the mid and lower elevations isolated pockets of new soft surface slab will begin to form but will be limited in volume and extent.
