Avalanche Activity

Moderate avalanche danger will prevail.

The wind slabs are lying on unfavourable layers in particular on steep shady slopes. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. Snowpack Structure

Over a wide area only a little snow is lying. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. In some places wind slabs are lying on a weakly bonded old snowpack. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack. They are to be found in particular on shady slopes.

The weather will be cloudy.
