Snowpack Summary

Up to 5 cm of recent snow overlies a crust. In sheltered areas, surface hoar may be found, formed during the recent cold, clear weather.

The mid and lower snowpack is generally strong.

In the alpine, the height of snow varies from 200 to 300 cm.
