In isolated areas, a chance continues for large triggers such as snow machines or cornice failures to trigger large persistent slab avalanches involving buried weak layers. Isolated pockets of wind slab could also be triggered in very steep terrain above 9000 feet. As the day warms the likelihood for wet loose avalanches on steep sunlit slopes will increase. In the valleys, beware of exposure to roof slides.
Deep persistent slab avalanches could be triggered with depths of three to six feet. Previous tracks do not validate stability. Taking a look into the snowpack may help to identify where this hazard remains.

Some areas, particularly east of the Continental Divide could see brief periods of light snow from this system. The thin cloud cover is expected to result in temperatures being similar to today's. The general avalanche danger will be rated as Low in the Tetons where the snowpack is generally stable and Moderate in the Togwotee Pass and Southwest Trails areas where old weaknesses pose a threat of failing to a large trigger such as a snow machine hitting a weak, thin spot on a slope.
