Avalanche Summary

Steep slopes on the north half of the mountain are the most dangerous and likely places to trigger an avalanche large enough to bury you. Fresh slabs over two feet thick, resting on weak snow below, will take time to heal, so be patient. Enjoy the soft snow on lower-angle slopes as a safer option.

In addition, keep an eye on steep sunny slopes. These could become wet and unstable as they warm throughout the day.
