Points saillants
The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW at all elevations this morning and will rise to MODERATE. Cold temperatures and light snow at Mid and Upper elevations will help keep the old snow relatively cool but new snow has insulated the warm snow beneath and crusts may not have formed overnight. Any sun breaks will cause the new snow to slough and begin warming the old snow creating the possibility of sloughs and surface slides on sunlit aspects. At Low elevations the snowpack is thin or melted on sunlit aspects but stay out of steep, north facing ravines or roadcuts where the snow is rain soaked and wet sloughs could be dangerous.
